When I was a little guy, my (much older ha ha) sister had Donny Osmond photos all over her wall. “So silly,” I thought, at least until she dogged me about my Farrah Fawcett poster.
Well, last night my 12-year-old daughter and 10-Y.O. son persuaded me to take them to the Jonas Brothers 3D movie and it was deja-vu. First off, I was the lone dad amongst a sea of mostly tween girls, a few boys and a boatload of moms. Suffice to say, it was an insightful look at 2009 bubble gum culture. All around me the girls would clap, sing and sometimes let out an “Ouwee!”
My kids were enjoying every minute of it.
As for me—hey, I spent a couple of hours adoring my young children, as they totally immersed themselves in the excitement of their generation. I doubt that I will download J.B. songs to my I-Pod, but I had an absolute kick. Good times.
